In chapter 53 of the Quran (The Star), verse 49, Allah mentions the word "Sirius", which is the brightest star in the sky.

The verse says : (53:49) "And He alone is the Lord of Sirius"

This verse is the only Quranic verse that mentions the word "Sirius" at all.

Now, the Quran never speaks about this star, it never says anything in particular concerning this celestial body, it just happens to be that one Quranic verse gets to say that Allah is the Lord of Sirius, and that's about it, no speaking about it before or after that verse. So why would Allah even mention it then? Well, as stated in the home page, Allah keeps count of all numbers in the Quran, thus surely there is a reason why the Quran even mentions the word "Sirius", and that this verse in particular mentions it.

The distance between the Earth and Sirius is 8.611 light years (8.6 light years).

As said above, verse 49 of chapter 53 mentions the star. This verse is the 4833rd verse of the Quran.

The next chapter, The Moon, (C.54), mentions the word "Earth" once only, in verse 12. This verse is the 4858th verse of the Quran.

So what do we have here.. verse 49, (chapter The Star) in which is mentioned the word "Sirius", and verse 12, (chapter The Moon) in which is mentioned the word "Earth". Verse 49 is the 4833rd Quranic verse, whilst verse 12 is the 4858th Quranic verse.

Now, the reason we're using the next chapter's mention of the word Earth here, is something which I explain right here :

When dividing 49 by 12, we get 4.0833333333. As stated, verse 49 is verse 4833 of the Quran. Moreover, dividing 4858 by 12 we get 404.8333333333. Remember, verse 12 is verse 4858 of the Quran, as stated. Remember, there is no coincidence in the holy book of Allah. So this seems to be a very strong indication, a hint, towards a potential further result. But we're going to see that here...

NOTE : the word 'Earth' in the Quran is ARD, and is mentioned 461 times in the Quran, as a total. There's big importance of this number in this chapter, since we get to obtain it, not once but twice. Here I explain..

Quranic Arabic Corpus : Total occurences of the word Earth (ارض) - 3 letters in total.

Chapter 53 has the word 'Earth' in verse 31. Counting the very total number of letters, from 'Earth' in verse 31 all the way up to the word 'Sirius' in verse 49, we obtain 461 exactly (I'll give all the details on this page if you want to make sure whether that's correct, but you can check it yourself).

Thus it makes sense to apply 461 and 3 as we do our maths on this page regarding the astronomical distance value between Sirius and the Earth in chapter 53.

From the word Sirius (C.53 V.49), all the way up to the word Earth (C.54 V.12), we have 125 words and 554 letters exactly, here are the details :

1st column ; quranic verse

2nd column ; chapter

3rd column ; chapter's verse

4th column ; words

5th column ; letters

Note : chapter 53 (The Star) has 62 verses in total, this is why it ends at verse 62 on the image.

As the image shows, verse 49 has 14 letters for 4 words. Sirius is 4 letters, as we can see here ;

شِّعْرَىٰ = Sirius

And it is the 4th word of the verse. Thus we subtract 10 from 14, since we count from the word Sirius not the whole verse.

Verse 12 has 38 letters for 9 words respectively. The word Earth is in the 2nd word of the verse, which has 5 letters in total. The first word has 6 letters, thus we subtract 27 from 38, since we count the total words and letters up to the word 'Earth' (from 'Sirius').

With all this, we can use the calculator to obtain the total number of letters from Sirius to Earth, and we'll have 554 letters respectively, and 125 words.

Quick reminder : the verse within which is the word 'Sirius' is verse 49.

Now, let's do some math..

I'll start by dividing 554 by 125 :

554÷125 = 4.432

432×2 (-3) = 861

As a reminder, 3 is simply the total letters of the word 'Earth' in Arabic (ARD) as we've laid it out..

4×432 = 1728

If we reverse this, we get 8271

Now, the number right in the middle of 554 and 125, meaning right in-between them, is 339.5. Because 554+125 = 679, and half of 679 is 339.5. We can round this to 340 here. So right in-between 554 and 125 is 340.

8271+340 = 8611

Let's keep going.

554+125 = 679

554-125 = 429

6+7+9+4+2+9 = 37 (+49) = 86

37 read backwards is 73. The total number of verses from verse 49 up to the end of chapter 53 (which has 62 verses in total) is 13.

73+13 = 86

The total occurences of the word Earth is 461 times in the Quran, and has 3 letters as we've said. 461 backwards is 164.

679-429 = 250

679+429 = 1108

1108-250 (+3) = 861

250-164 = 86

679-164 = 515

429+164 = 593

593-515 = 78

164-78 = 86

Let's reverse the numbers.

515 becomes 515

593 becomes 395

515+395 (-49) = 861

429-164 = 265

679+164 = 843

Let's reverse them..

562+348 (-49) = 861

The numbers in parentheses, 49 or 3, are what we had to apply for a few of these calculations so far in order to get to the correct scientific value of both celestial bodies' in-between distance (8.6, 861, 8.611), and they're absolutely relevant, one is the total letters of the word 'Earth' (ARD), the other the verse number of the verse that mentions the word 'Sirius'. We'll see, throughout this page, how we will actually apply the same notion.

As noted, verse 49 is verse 4833 of the Quran and verse 12 is verse 4858 of the Quran. Earth has 3 letters when Sirius has 4, making it 7. And we've already divided both verses by 12 :

49÷12 = 4.0833333333

4858÷12 = 404.8333333333

The total difference in numbers between these 2 whole long sets of digits is 7.

4+8+3+3+3+3+3+3+3+3+4+4+8+3+3+3+3+3+3+3+3+3+786

Now we will use 679 and 429 for the most amazing part.

Again, 554+125 = 679 and 554-125 = 429.

TOTAL (679+429) = 1108

5×5×4×2×5 = 1000 (we shall add the '1' that we removed here) : 1001

Now let's add them together..

1108 + 1001 = 2109

As we said above, 49÷12 is 4.0833333333.

Now we shall multiply both results..

2109×4.0833333333 = 8,611.7499999297

If we addition all the digits after the decimal point, here's what we obtain :

7+4+9+9+9+9+9+2+9+7 = 74

74 is the total number of words from verse 1 (C.54) up to word Earth in verse 12

74+12 = 86

And adding a + in-between each two of those digits, this is what we get :

74+99+99+92+97 = 461

As said above, 461 is the total occurences of the word 'Earth' throughout the entire Quran, the triliteral root being ARD, "أَرْض " (Hamza, Ra, Dad) which is 3 letters.

That is the second time we obtain it.

This shows how amazing the Quran's mathematical structure is.

As we've established already, Sirius in Arabic is 4 letters making it 7 with Earth's total letters.

74×7 = 518

99×7 = 693

99×7 = 693

92×7 = 644

97×7 = 679

Let's addition all these digits :

5+1+8+6+9+3+6+9+3+6+4+4+6+7+9 = 86

Notice, within this whole long set of number, how the third digit is 8, and the fourth digit is 6, making it 86, 3 being the total letters of Earth, 4 being the total letters of Sirius.

Thus..

34+49 + (3) = 86

Let's also addition them as a whole :

518+693+693+644+679 = 3227

32×27 - (3) = 861

As a reminder, 3 is the total letters of the word Earth, and we got this number (3227) using the total occurences of the word Earth (461) in the first place (which in turn we got by using nothing but the total letters & words from 'Sirius' up to 'Earth'), so applying 3 here absolutely makes sense.

Subtracting 86 from 461 gives us 375.

3227÷375 = 8.6053333333

We're going to use what we have after the decimal point again.

60+5+3+3+3+3+3+3+3 = 86

605÷7 = 86.4285714286

Let's addition all the digits here again. 25 is the total verses from verse 49 (4833) up to verse 12 (4858). So, we're still staying here using nothing other than the numbers in-between and of both concerned verses..

8+6+4+2+8+5+7+1+4+2+8+6 (+25) = 86

Counting up each two of these digits now..

86+42+85+71+42+86 = 412

461-412 = 49

(Verse 49 mentions Sirius, verse 12 mention Earth) :

461+412 (-12) = 861

If we notice, we have 86 at the beginning and at the end of the whole set of digits. We're going to see what we have using all the digits in-between both of them :

4×2×8×5×7×1×4×2 (÷25) = 716.8 (backwards = 8.617)

Here again, we have two same numbers at the start and end of this whole set of digits, which is 42.

4×2×8×5×7×1×4×2 = 17,920

920-17 = 903

903-42 = 861

42×42 (-903) = 861

From verse 49 up to verse 12, it's 25 verses in total.

4858-4833 = 25

One important thing to note here, is that when we divided 49 by 12 and got 4.0833333333, the totality of all these digits is 36, as seen here :

4+8+3+3+3+3+3+3+3+3 = 36

As mentioned already, Earth is 3 letters when Sirius is 4, respectively, 7 in total.

49×25×7+36 = 8,611

The word 'Sirius' in chapter 53 is the 310th word of the chapter respectively. We can do the math easily using the dashboard in the image I provided above.

310÷36 = 8.6111111111

4858+4833 gives us 9691

9+6+9+1 = 25

Total verses from 4858 and 4833 is 25 verses as mentioned, and the total number of words from the words Sirius and Earth is 125 as we've said :

96×91-125 = 8,611

54+53 is 107 (chapter 53 mentions 'Sirius' and chapter 54 mentions 'Earth').

969-107-1 = 861

The '1' here is that of 9691.

We're going to multiply the digits as well :

9×6×9 = 486

We subtract 25 from 486, and we get 461. If we remember, we had subtracted 86 from 461, the answer was 375.

Thus...

486+375 = 861

We shall multiply the digits of both verses (49 & 12) as well..

4×8×5×8 + 4×8×3×3 = 1568

1568×5.54 = 8686.72

554 is the total number of letters from Sirius to Earth, as we have already established. The 72 we will use it as well.

7×2 = 14 thus 72+14 = 86

15+68 (+3) = 86

Now 1568, when read backwards, is 8651.

Adding all these digits up gives us 40 :

1+5+6+8+8+6+5+1 = 40

8651-40 = 8611

Verse 49 has 4 words and 14 letters as a total. Verse 12 has 9 words and 38 letters as a total (scroll up and see the image I provided).

49×4×14 = 2744

12×9×38 = 4104

Both equals 6848. When we reverse it, it's 8486.

8486+125 = 8611

In the Abjad system, all the alphabets in Arabic language have their own numerical, gematrical value. Each Arabic letter has its numerical value.

It goes from 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.. up to 10, then from 10, 20, 30.. up to 100, then from 100, 200, 300, 400.. up to 1000.

This concept dates back to Islam's era, 7th century (arguably even before). See in this image for details.

Totalling the gematrical values of the entirety verse 49 gives us 886 exactly. Since we have 25 verses in total from verse 49 to verse 12, we're going to do some subtraction ;

886-25 = 861

Now taking the numerical value of all the letters in verse 12 gives us 2961 exactly. We're going to apply 29 and 61 separately :

2961×2.9+25 = 8611

61+25 = 86

We're moving on from chapter 54 and we stay in chapter 53 only now, within which we can also find the word 'Earth'.

Chapter 53 mentions the word 'Earth' twice, in verse 31 & verse 32, respectively.

Counting the total number of letters from the word Earth in verse 31 up to the word Sirius in verse 49 it's exactly 461 in total.

We already applied and used that number several times, and noted that it is the total occurences of word Earth in the Quran. We've used it and already had the scientific value (8.6 / 861 / 8611).

For instance we've multiplied it by 7 and had 3227, 7 being the total letters of 'Earth' and 'Sirius' combined :

32×27 (-3) = 861

461-86 = 375, thus 3227÷375 = 8.6

So having precisely 461 yet again, within chapter 53 counting from its mention of the word Earth in verse 31 up to the word Sirius can in no way be a mere coincidence.

Now verse 32 mentions Earth too. Counting the total words from that up to the word Sirius, albeit stopping right at Sirius (meaning not counting Sirius only, meaning right when arriving at Sirius) is 86 words exactly.

Here are the details

  • In verse 32, the word Earth is the 18th word, and the verse has 31 words in total, thus we subtract 17 from 31 and we count from the word Earth. In verse 49 now, Sirius is the last word of the verse, so we count the entirety of the verse. Knowing all this, we can exactly count the total words, and see that it's 86 words as I've said.
  • In verse 31, the word Earth is the 7th word, up to which it's exactly 19 letters from the start of the verse, and the verse has 70 letters as we can see in the image. So.. the calculation can be done here, and we'll obtain 461 letters exactly.

Since we're staying in chapter 53 now only, meaning both words Earth and Sirius here come from chapter 53 this time, we shall apply this now :

461÷53 = 8.6981132075

Let's calculate all the digits after 8.6 at once :

9+8+1+1+3+2+7+5 +8 = 44

9+8+1+1+3+2+7+5 +6 42

44+42 = 86

Using the Abjad system's gematrical values again, taking the gematrical value of all the Arabic letters in verse 31, from which we've had 461 by counting the total letters up to Sirius, it's 4131 exactly. We can use Abjad calculators online to calculate that.

We will do the same as we did with verse 12 of chapter 54, using the details in-between and of  both concerned verses, that is.

From verse 31 to verse 49, it's 18 verses.

4131÷4.9 (+18)861

Verse 31 is the 4815th verse in the Quran, when verse 49 is the 4833rd verse in the Quran.

48×15 = 720

48×33 = 1584

As mentioned quite a few times, as a reminder, Earth is 3 letters and it makes perfect sense using this digit as there's a strong hint at it when this chapter gave us that number twice.

1584-720 (-3) = 861

Let's addition all the digits of both verses :

4+8+3+3+4+8+1+5 = 36

Total letters of Sirius and Earth combined ; 7

Let's reverse both verses ;

4833 becomes 3384

4815 becomes 5184

5184+3384+36+7 = 8611

So, how do we explain all this? All the times we had to utilize, in math, nothing but the numbers/details (total number of verses, letters, words..) of and in-between both concerned verses out of which we used the words 'Earth' and 'Sirius' in order to obtain the scientific value of the distance between both celestial bodies.

Coincidence isn't an intelligent word to use here, especially knowing that this book is the book of Allah, Who is all-Knowing, and states in chapter 72 verse 28 that He has enumerated all numbers of the Quran.

But, assuming even God doesn't exist (for whatever reason..), thus Islam isn't the truth, the probability of obtaining such numbers throughout a book that is much older than any scientific discoveries is slim. But, the more you have those in that book, the more improbable it becomes, until you eventually reach impossibility.
